GMO growing concern
The days of shopping at your local supermarket with peace of mind for fresh fruits and vegetables, as nature has intended, are long gone thanks to GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) DNA biotechnology. GMOs are living organisms, plant or animal, that have been genetically modified using molecular genetic methods such as gene cloning and protein engineering. Bacterial genes were originally introduced into food crops to boost their growth, nutritional benefits, and make them resistant to commercial herbicides.
